Let me introduce myself

I was born in Spruce Pine, a small mountain town in western North Carolina that will always be home. Today I live in Zebulon, home of the Carolina Mudcats—at least for one more season!

Meet my family

I married my amazing wife, Miranda, in Hawaii, and for our 20th anniversary, our whole family returned—making it all the way to the snowy summit of Mauna Kea at 13,800 feet.

I started as an NC State Wolfpack fan (and still am), but I’ll admit it’s easier—and more fun—to cheer for the UNC Tar Heels these days.

I’m a proud Scout volunteer, and my son John Henry is a Life Scout working toward earning his Eagle rank.

As a former triathlete, I still enjoy pushing myself to stay active.

I love watching my kids run cross country… and occasionally I try to keep up with them.

Join me!

If you’re ever at the IAAO conference, join me for a morning run, it’s one of my favorite ways to connect and I can get to know you!
